How we collect, use and look after your personal information, in plain English.

Who we are
This website is run by Zed Studio Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 14103089, VAT number 460 7696 64. Registered office: 4 Office Village, Forder Way, Cygnet Park, Peterborough PE7 8GX. We’re the controller of the personal information you give us through it. What we collect
- When you get in touch: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your business details and anything you write in your message.
- When you book a call: the details you enter when booking, such as your name, email address and what you’d like to talk about.
- When you use the site: information about how you use it, such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and whether you came from one of our adverts, but only if you agree to cookies.
How we use it, and why we’re allowed to
- To reply to your enquiry and talk about working together. It’s in our legitimate interests to respond when you contact us, and in yours too.
- To deliver work you’ve asked us to do. This is necessary for our contract with you.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it. We only do this with your consent, which you give through our cookie settings.
- To send you occasional updates. Only if you’ve asked to hear from us, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it to make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We use trusted services to run this website and our business. They only handle your information on our behalf and under our instructions:
- our website hosting, provided by Cloudflare
- our enquiry forms and the CRM we use to manage enquiries
- Calendly, if you book a call with us
- Google, for website analytics and measuring our advertising through Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads, if you agree to these cookies
- YouTube, which plays the videos on our site when you press play
- our email provider, and our accountants where the law requires it
Some of these services store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the legal safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to reply and follow up, and no longer than two years if we don’t end up working together. Client records are kept for as long as we work together, and then for as long as the law requires, usually six years for accounts.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to someone else. You can also object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it. Email hello@zedstudio.co.uk and we’ll respond within a month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
